Dr. Lynne O’SullivanDiplomate, ACVIM (Cardiology)

    Dr. Lynne O’Sullivan is a veterinary cardiologist and professor at the University of Prince Edward Island’s Atlantic Veterinary College.

    She was born and raised in Riverview, New Brunswick, and received her DVM from AVC. She completed a rotating internship followed by Cardiology residency and Doctor of Veterinary Science graduate degree at the University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College.

    She was on faculty at the Ontario Veterinary College for 15 years where she was service chief of Cardiology for the last 7 of those. She took an opportunity to return to the east coast and joined the faculty at the Atlantic Veterinary College, UPEI last year.

    Lynne’s primary area of research has been dilated cardiomyopathy in the Doberman pinscher and she has been a co-investigator in a number of multicenter veterinary clinical trials for both DCM and mitral valve disease.

    Her teaching has been recognized with several awards, including the Pfizer Carl J. Norden Distinguished teaching award in 2012 and the CVMA Teacher of the Year award in 2015.

    Her house full of boys (1 large, 2 little, and 1 feline) keep her very busy, and her hobbies including cooking, running, and skiing keep her sane.
