Dr. Anneliese Heinrich grew up in Orangeville, Ontario, riding and training horses. She earned an MSc degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from the University of Guelph prior to graduating from Ontario Veterinary College in 2012.
Anneliese worked in general practice for several years before returning to her love of animal behaviour and clinical veterinary behaviour. She completed a residency with American College of Veterinary Behaviorists in 2023 and is awaiting board exams in the fall of this year. Anneliese has practiced in Alberta and Ontario. She has a special interest in fear and anxiety disorders across species and the use of positive reinforcement to train horses.
When not working, Anneliese enjoys spending time with her family and her children, riding her horse, Ringlet, and running, having competed in several marathons and ultramarathons.
